As usual, during the first quarter of the year we proceed with the evaluation of last year volunteering programs. Thanks to the answers from volunteers of last year, and through meetings with the organizers, we try to improve everything so that the experience of both volunteers and local organizers can be as pleasant as possible.

Anyone who wants can participate until April 2016 with the same conditions and forms of last year.

Anyone wishing to participate from April 2016 until April 2017, must wait until we finish the assessment and publish the new information document and the new forms. Our intention is to do so no later than the end of March.

However, as there are many people who are interested, especially for the summer, and want to buy the flight ticket, we have opened a reservation list that assures you a place until you can formalize the definitive reservation from April .

You only have to write to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it specifying your name, the program you choose and the group or dates you are interested. We can assure that we will repeat the same three programs of 2015:

P1 - Mom Tik Camp teaching English or French in the province of Mahasarakham

P2 - Eco-trekking culture of ethnic minorities in the province of Chiang Rai

P3 - English Camp in the land of the Phu Thai, teaching english in the province of Nakhom Phanom

The groups of two weeks we have created for the summer are:

G1: 20 june to 3 july

G2: 4 july to 17 july

G3: 18 july to 31 july

G4: 1 august to 14 august

G5: 15 august to 28 august

G6: 29 august to 11 september

If you want to go in other different dates, it is also possible, but always bearing in mind that you should start on a Monday, reaching the destination the day before Sunday. Note that you will have to get to Bangkok at least two days before, that is, the Saturday before, so that you have enough time to reach the final destination.

Also note that there are two things that this year are different from last year:

- The registration fee will be 50 euros instead of the 40 that were paid so far

- The Phu Thai program fee will be the same that the Mom Tik Camp fee, that is, 3000 baht per week.

We show you some pictures sent from last year volunteers. If you want to see all of them, please visit our blog asociacionudutama.blogspot.com

Best regards to everyone from Thailand !!!

Evaluation of the Scholarships Project for young people from ethnic minorities PDF Print E-mail

During the month of January we have been able to visit the ethnic minority at risk of social exclusion young students  that Udutama is supporting so that they can study and  have a better qualify of life.

We had a first informal meeting when they could tell us about their studies during the academic course and about their future plans. We were able to chat with them in depth for about six hours, thanks largely to the collaboration of our volunteer Yui, an excellent person residing in Bangkok who helps us manage the fund scholarships and solve communication problems with the girls in a totally disinterested way.

Mei, from the Lahu ethnic minority, will just finish her secondary education and aims to make the degree of English International Program in the Rajabhat University of Chiang Rai.

Pond, from the Akha ethnic group, also finishes this course her technical studies at the Chiang Rai Agriculture and Technology College. She would like to continue the upper cycle but must first convince her family since her parents have told hem she has to get a job so that she can help them.

Nam, also Akha, will begin next course the last year of her degree in Tourism studies. She will have to develop a tourism project during the course. We are pleased that Nam no longer needs our help, she has found a part time job in a coffeeshop and two of her brothers are already working and can help her family.

We could carry out two subsequent visits to the College where Pond is studying and to Mei’s school. We could talk there with some of their teachers, who confirmed us that both are good students and pass the subjects without difficulty.

The purpose of these grants is to try that these girls have a better future than they expected for the socio-economic conditions of their families, to make them self-sufficient and eventually they can also help their families and their communities thanks to a better payed and worthy job. We think that the results so far are very satisfactory.

We take this opportunity to thank again the contribution to this project of our members, volunteers, donors as Imma and collaborators as Yui. Without their help it would be impossible to make it real !
